Victoria Mauri
Victoria Mauri is the founder and managing attorney at Mauri Law, PLLC. She was a prosecutor with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office for 13 years and conducted innumerable hearings and trials. As a prosecutor, Victoria Mauri handled some of Nassau County’s most serious crimes, including homicides, attempted murders, gang violence, complex narcotics operations, drug possession, weapon possession, sex crimes, assaults, drunk driving, domestic crime, larcenies, and criminal mischiefs. After proving herself as a skilled trial attorney, Victoria Mauri was promoted to a Deputy Chief supervisory position, where she worked for several years before resigning in order to represent those in need of a formidable legal defense.
Victoria graduated from Hofstra Law School with honors. During law school she had a concentration in Criminal and Constitutional Law and was the president of the Criminal Law Society.
Before going to Law School Victoria graduated with honors from Villanova University where she majored in Criminal Justice. While at Villanova, Victoria worked with the Philadelphia Police Department, Graterford Maximum Security Prison and the Nassau County Probation Department.
After graduating from Villanova, Victoria worked for the New York City Legal Aid Society and gained valuable experience in Criminal Defense work and investigations.
Victoria also developed an expertise in the new Discovery Laws as a prosecutor. Criminal defense has changed rapidly with the implementation of these laws and Victoria has gained unrivaled proficiency in this new area, which has become a powerful tool in criminal defense that has caused sanctions on the prosecution and even case dismissals.
Victoria is a member of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association and the Criminal Courts Bar Association.
Victoria is a life-long resident of Nassau County.
